PENDULUM
See some pendulums
Anton Chevreul (18 Century) was the first to use the Pendulum as a way of magnifying
'ideomotor' movements.
A Pendulum is not magic, it simply enlarges the magnitude of body movements which arise as a result of
thought processes (ideomotor movements).
Some people ascribe mystic powers or elemental functions to the Pendulum and similar objects used for
'divination'. This is a matter of choice or belief. Its more conservative use is in autoquestioning, This really means
asking yourself about yourself. Such use expressly disallows the participation of others. It is a totally personal
experience. This is not regarded as a venture in fortune telling, but rather as discovering about your own
inner-most thoughts.
All actions arise from thought and it is reasonable to conclude that thoughts are greatly shaped by the
subconscious. This makes the subconscious a very powerful part of your personality. Direct communication
between the conscious mind and the subconscious is not possible so any method of bridging the gap is surely worth exploring.
It is not difficult to work with a Pendulum but it does need practise. To describe its use would require more space
than is available here. An information sheet is available for your temporary use. The same information will be given
to you if you purchase the Pendulum.
How to use it...............
A Pendulum can swing in any of six,well-defined directions.
(horizontal)
(vertical)
(right diagonal)
(left diagonal)
(clockwise)
(anti-clockwise)
There are six responses for the six directions. They are: 'Yes', 'No', 'Maybe', ' Don't want to answer',
'Re-phrase the question'. The sixth direction is an escape route for the subconscious and means,
perhaps, that the question cannot be properly answered by any of the other five directions.
It is necessary to establish, for you, which direction of movement is associated with which answer.
Rest your elbow on the table, hold the Pendulum just off the surface and ask yourself which
direction will mean 'Yes' for you. Focus on the question while you watch the Pendulem. Try to
neither make the Pendulum move nor stop it from movong, simply keep concentrating on your
'Yes' question. When a definite direction is seen, make a note of it. Do the same for each of the
other four answers. You need definite responses for all. If you get a duplicate move, just try again
with determination to make the Pendulum work for you. Some will achieve the required responses
very quickly, others will need more practise.
After asking a number of related questions, you may start to come to some conclusions. Check,
by asking further questions, if these are acceptable and are the conclusions you were intended to
formulate.
Using a Pendulum is not a venture into fortune telling. It is, rather, a process of asking
yourself about yourself. It is an attempt to contact the hidden subconscious. All actions start
with thought and conscious thought, it can be reasonably concluded, is influenced by the
subconscious. The subconscious, then, is a powerful factor in one's personality. The
autoquestioning technique using the Pendulum is one way of trying to find out what resides
in the 'inner - you'.
